You don’t need a membership to shop with Instacart. But if you want to save money, Instacart+ can help. It’s a membership program that offers exclusive benefits (such as $0 delivery fees on grocery and retail orders $10+, and Costco orders $35+. Service fees apply.).

Eligible BMO Credit Card members in Canada receive complimentary Instacart+ when enrolled in the BMO Card Embedded Benefit. Details for eligible BMO Credit Cards are as follows— 

• 3 or 6 months of complimentary Instacart+ Membership
• A $5 or $10 Instacart credit every month with an active Instacart+ membership and when paying with your eligible BMO Credit Card through October 31, 2027.
• A discounted annual Instacart+ membership rate of $79 for one year, billed automatically to any active card on file, unless you cancel during your complimentary Instacart+ membership period or opt-out from the discounted rate during enrollment. After your first year, the membership auto-renews at $99/year.

 Instacart+ membership costs $99/year or $9.99/month without a discounted rate.

If you order just twice a month, the membership can pay for itself. (Based on placing two standard deliveries for a delivery fee savings of $7.99 per delivery.)

Yes, you can cancel at any time from your Instacart+ Membership page in the Instacart app or on the website. Our help centre provides step-by-step instructions. If you prefer, you can contact customer support at 1 (888) 246-7822. Cancel prior to free term or renewal to avoid charges.

The eligibility requirements to enroll in this offer are — 

• Must add or have saved your eligible BMO Credit Card as a payment method with Instacart. View Terms for eligible cards. 
• Excludes payment via Apple Card and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. 
• If you have more than one eligible BMO Credit Card, you may redeem the benefit with only one of your eligible cards.  
• You will only get the monthly credit associated with the eligible card type you (a) redeem the offer with and (b) you pay with at checkout.

Once you redeem the offer, through October 31, 2027, you’re eligible to receive a $5 or $10 credit every month, with the following eligibility requirements — 

• Must be an active Instacart+ member (either during the complimentary 3 or 6 months or by renewing to a paid Instacart+ membership). 
• Once enrolled and while you remain eligible, you’ll receive your monthly credit that automatically applies to any qualifying order. 
• Your monthly credit auto-applies to your first order placed with the same eligible card type you enrolled with in the same calendar month. Order minimum of $50. 
• Excludes Apple Card and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.  
• Credits don’t apply to alcohol items. 
• Your monthly credits expire at the end of the calendar month in which it was earned if not fully used. 

After the three or six months of complimentary Instacart+ ends, you need to have an active paid Instacart+ membership through October 31, 2027 in order to be eligible to keep earning a credit each month. For other questions and more support, please visit Instacart Help Centre.

To redeem your discounted Instacart+ membership, you must opt into auto-renewal during enrollment. If you choose not to enable auto-renewal, you can’t enroll in the discounted membership after enrollment.
