1. Statement Credit Offer Eligibility
a. Applications for the BMO Support Our Troops Mastercard must be received between June 22nd, 2026, and October 22nd, 2026 (“Offer Period”) to be eligible for this Statement Credit Offer.
b. To qualify for the statement credit, you must complete eligible grocery purchase(s) totaling at least $250 CAD (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cashlike transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) using your Account within the first three (3) months from the date your Account is opened (“Account Open Date”). The $250 spend threshold does not need to be met in a single transaction.
c. Only purchases that are successfully posted to your Account within the first three (3) months following the Account Open Date will qualify.
d. This offer is limited to new BMO Support Our Troops Mastercard accounts and will not be awarded to current or former cardholders who reinstate a closed account, product transfer, or who open a new account for the same card during the Offer Period.
2. Eligible Purchases
a. Eligible purchases for this offer are purchases made directly at merchants classified (formal classification assigned by the Mastercard) under Merchant Category Code (MCC) 5411 (grocery stores).
b. BMO (“Bank of Montreal”) cannot guarantee that any merchant, operating in whole or in part as a grocery store, is classified by MCC 5411 and in no event will BMO be liable or responsible for any claims with respect to a grocery store purchase made at a merchant that is not classified by MCC 5411.
c. Eligible purchases made by supplementary cardholders on the Account will count toward the $250 spend requirement; however, only one (1) statement credit may be earned per Account.
3. Statement Credit
a. Upon meeting the eligibility requirements, a $50 statement credit will be applied to your Account within 90 days following the date your qualifying purchase(s) are posted.
b. The statement credit is an account credit, not cash or a price reduction, and cannot be transferred, assigned or exchanged. Your Account must remain open and in good standing at the time the statement credit is applied.
4. General Offer Conditions
a. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer, except for the Welcome Offer, if applicable, unless otherwise stated. The offer is available for a limited time and may be modified, suspended, withdrawn or cancelled by BMO at any time without notice.
b. BMO reserves the right to revoke the statement credit if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the offer has been manipulated, abused, or used in a manner inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions, or if suspicious or fraudulent activity is suspected.
