Blue Rewards Chequing Account

A Blue Rewards Chequing Account is a bank account that allows you to earn Blue Points on eligible transactions you make with the account. The amount of Blue Points you earn per transaction depends on the terms and conditions of the Blue Rewards Chequing Account, as well as any offer or promotions related to the account. 

For example, this account lets you earn 2x the Points for every $2 in eligible grocery, wholesale club, EVElectric vehicle​ charging and gas purchases, and 1 Point for every $2 in purchases everywhere else.^*9

You can also get 500 Bonus Points every month you maintain a daily balance of $4,000 or more in your chequing account, plus another $500 Bonus Points every month when you also have a BMO Blue Rewards World Elite^®* Mastercard^®*.^*109

You don’t need to keep a minimum balance in the account as long as you pay the monthly plan fee of $17.95. Plus, you can get 500 Bonus Points every month you maintain a daily balance of $4,000 or more in your chequing account.^*106

With the Blue Rewards Chequing Account, you get unlimited transactions^*52 per month.

When you move money out of your account – like an ATM withdrawal, bill payment or pre-authorized payment – that counts as a transaction. Money coming into your account – like payroll direct deposits or cash deposits at an ATM – don’t count as transactions.

When you open a Blue Rewards Chequing Account, you’ll be asked to link your existing Blue Rewards Member Number to the chequing account. That way, you can continue to earn Blue Points without opening a new one.
