Family Bundle FAQs

  • Our Family Bundle is flexible – you can add anyone who lives in the same house as you, as long as they don’t already have a BMO chequing account.

  • Nope! With the BMO Family Bundle, the new accounts can be joint, but they can also be individual for each family member. You can even have a combination of both, sharing some accounts and keeping others private.

  • We take your privacy very seriously. With a Family Bundle, the accounts that are in your name can only be viewed or accessed by you. If you have joint accounts as part of your Family Bundle, only you and the other family member named on the account can view it.

  • Your family members will get the same type of account that you hold, and they’ll enjoy all the same benefits that you do. So, if you have a Performance Plan, anyone who joins your Family Bundle will also get one, and have access to all the same perks, like unlimited Interac e-Transfer®§ transactions and Onguard Identity Theft Protection at no extra charge.

  • We’ve made it easier than ever to add new members to your plan. If your family member doesn’t already have a BMO account, you can add them to your plan through BMO Online Banking in less than a minute – you’ll just need your family member’s full name and email address to get them started with their no-fee bank account.

  • We know that families come in all shapes and sizes – you can have up to 20 accounts in your Family Bundle.

  • If you’d like to remove a member from your plan, just give us a call at  1-844-837-9228 or visit your nearest BMO branch.

  • Every family member you want to add to your Bundle will receive an email inviting them to open their own no-fee bank account through our easy online application. Once they’ve submitted their application, they’ll be added to your Family Bundle.
