How to sign up for BMO Harris Online Banking
Your BMO Wealth Professional can help you sign up for online banking. Note that if you don’t have a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN), you’ll have to sign up over the phone. Your Wealth Professional can set you up with the right person to contact.

How to add a biller
You can set up almost any U.S. company or individual as a Biller and pay them through BMO Harris Bill Pay.
It's easy:
- Log into BMO Harris Online Banking and click the Payments tab.
- Click the Add Biller link.
- Enter the Biller Name and click Continue.
- Input the requested biller information (including the U.S. company name, a U.S. address for the biller) and account number if applicable.
- Follow the prompts to confirm the biller information and complete the set up.

How to pay bills
It’s easy to pay your U.S. bills once they are set up as a biller, simply:
- Select either Pay One Bill or Pay Many Bills.
- Enter the Payment Amount and enter the date or use the calendar to select the due date.
- Click Confirm all payments or Pay this bill.
- Click Confirm payment and Close.

How to set up e-bills
Setting up e-bills can simplify the way you manage payments. An e-bill is your account bill delivered electronically right to your online banking bill-pay service. To set up e-bills:
- Log into BMO Harris Online Banking and click the Payments tab.
- Click Sign up! next to your bill with an e-bill icon (e).
- Enter the e-bill information requested and click Continue.
- Click Confirm and then Close to complete your request.
It may take one or two billing cycles before you receive your first e-bill. Continue to monitor your payments for the biller until you receive your first e-bill to ensure your bills continue to get paid.

To set up BMO Harris Total Look so you can look at your BMO Harris and BMO account information together, you first need to sign up for BMO Harris Online Banking and BMO Online Banking. Once you do:
- Sign in to BMO Harris Online Banking.
- Have all of the account information at hand for the accounts you want to view together including bank accounts, credit cards, mortgages, etc.
- Click on Total Look tab on top menu bar. Your BMO Harris bank account information should automatically be included in Total Look.
- Click on Link an Account on the upper right hand of screen below top menu bar.
- Follow prompts and add account information for your accounts. You'll need to enter your BMO Online Banking login information to link a BMO account.

Transfer U.S. funds from Canada to the U.S. online
How we help:- Save in U.S. dollars in your BMO U.S. Dollar Account before you travel to the U.S.
- Transfer your USD from your BMO U.S. Dollar Account to your BMO Harris chequing account.for free through BMO Online Banking (as long as you have an eligible BMO Harris personal deposit account) or send a wire transfer from a BMO branch (though wire transfer fees may apply).

Another way to transfer funds is to set up a Wire Transfer Agreement at a BMO Harris branch or through the mail. Once the agreement is set up, you’ll be able to transfer funds from the U.S. to Canada by phone.

No, however, the company who is billing you needs to have a U.S. address.

Can I pay my Canadian bills from my U.S. BMO Harris account or my U.S. bills from my Canadian BMO account?
No. Canadian-based bills must be paid from a Canadian-based account, and U.S.-based bills must be paid from a U.S.-based account. Both of these options are available outside of the country through telephone or online banking.

Can I get overdraft protection on BMO Harris personal chequing accounts?
Yes, eligible clients can apply for overdraft protection on a BMO Harris personal chequing account.

Can I use Allpoint® ATMs to deposit cheques or cash?Currently, the 40,000+ Allpoint® ATMs in the U.S. can be used for cash withdrawals only.

Is there a fee for using Allpoint® ATMs?Allpoint® ATMs are fee-free if you are have a BMO Private Banking Bank Plan or a BMO Harris account. If you do not have a BMO Private Banking Bank Plan or a BMO Harris account you may be charged a fee. If you do have a BMO Private Banking Bank Plan and are charged a fee at an Allpoint ATM, please contact your Wealth Professional to have the fee reversed.

How do I use my BMO debit card with a U.S. merchant when a zip code is required (e.g. at a gas station)?
Where possible, the Canadian customers should enter the numeric portions of the postal code and fill the remaining spaces with zeroes to make up five digits. For example, if the Canadian postal code is M3L 2H6 the customer should enter 32600.
