BMO named Canada’s #1 mobile banking app by EMARKETER for third consecutive year

BMO has been ranked first in EMARKETER’s 2026 Canada Mobile Banking Emerging Features Benchmark, marking the third consecutive year the bank has earned the top spot. The recognition underscores BMO’s leadership in delivering innovative, client centric mobile banking experiences designed to help Canadians make real financial progress.  

The benchmark evaluates leading Canadian financial institutions based on the breadth and quality of their mobile banking features, weighted by customer demand across 42 features in six categories. EMARKETER uses a client driven methodology to assess how well institutions meet evolving digital banking expectations.
