The BMO Prepaid Mastercard lets you load funds onto the card and use that balance to make purchases and cash withdrawals. Once the balance runs out, simply reload more funds to continue using your prepaid card.
With the BMO Prepaid Mastercard, you won’t need to pay off a balance each month or incur interest charges. Your card also includes security features, making it safer to use than cash.
Do you have a BMO chequing or savings account? If you do, simply transfer funds to your BMO Prepaid Mastercard account through online or mobile banking. Your funds will be available shortly.
If you don’t have a BMO account, you can load any amount under $1,000 on your BMO Prepaid Mastercard directly from any bank account from most financial institutions, just as you would making a bill payment.
- Register your BMO Prepaid Mastercard as a bill payee.
- Load money via bill payment through online banking, ATM, phone banking or at a branch. However, you cannot load funds with cash, cheques or at merchants.
- Funds will be available in 2 to 5 business days.
