Suresh Krishnasamy

Suresh Krishnasamy is the Head of Enterprise Strategy and Financial Performance Management for BMO Financial Group, as well as the Chief Financial Officer of BMO’s Technology & Operations team. He is a member of BMO’s U.S. Management Committee. He is responsible for leading strategic planning and optimizing resources across the bank to ensure sustainable long-term growth. 

Prior to his current role, Suresh was the Chief Operating Officer for North American Personal & Business Banking, playing an integral role in the team’s market-leading growth strategy in Canada and the U.S. He also guided elements of BMO’s successful conversion of 2 million U.S.-based Bank of the West customers following BMO’s acquisition of the bank – the largest acquisition in Canadian banking history. 

Suresh joined BMO in 2006 from McKinsey and Company as a Senior Manager in the Office of Strategic Management and has since held executive leadership roles in Strategy, Finance, and the bank’s Operating Groups. 

Suresh earned an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as a Palmer Scholar. Prior to earning his business degree, he also earned a Master of Science in Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Waterloo.
