Caroline Dufaux
U.S. Chief Financial Officer
Caroline Dufaux serves as U.S. Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for all aspects of financial operations and processes, including financial accounting and reporting, business planning & forecasting, management reporting, treasury, capital management, and regulatory matters. As part of the U.S. Management Committee, Caroline plays a key role in the development and implementation of BMO's business strategy in the U.S.

Caroline joined BMO in 2017 as the Head of Capital Management, later expanding her mandate to include Corporate Funding and Securitization Finance & Operations. In 2023, she assumed the role of CFO for BMO Capital Markets where she led a global team of Finance professionals to deliver the enterprise and Capital Markets business strategies.

Before joining BMO, Caroline was the Americas Head of Capital & Leverage Management at Barclays in New York. She began her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York focusing on liquidity risk management and capital stress testing practices across large financial institutions.

Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Princeton University and a Master’s degree in International Relations & Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
