Claudia Fan Munce

Corporate Director

Ms. Munce retired in January 2016 as the Managing Director of the IBM Venture Capital Group and Vice President of IBM Corporate Development after 30 years of service. She is currently a board member of two public companies: Best Buy Inc. and Arteris.IP. In addition, she is a venture advisor of NEA, one of the world’s largest venture capital firm, founding chairwoman of the Global Corporate Venturing Leadership Society, advisor to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, founding advisor to Parity.org, chairwoman of NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) Northern California, and an appointed faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where she teaches Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. She previously served as a director of CoreLogic, Inc., a leading global property information, analytics and data-enabled solutions provider, and the National Venture Capital Association. Ms. Munce is also a Certified Cybersecurity Oversight Director. 

 

In March 2015, Worth Magazine named Ms. Munce one of the top 20 most influential investors in Silicon Valley and in June 2016 Inc. Magazine again named her one of the top investors to know in Silicon Valley. 

 

Ms. Munce is Chinese and grew up in Brazil and has served on the board of the Latin American Venture Capital Association as well as Women in Leadership in PE/VC in China. She holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering from Santa Clara University, and an M.S. degree in Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
