When speaking to your existing and potential clients, it’s important to point out the great features and benefits of BMO Insurance Living Benefit Plans. Our plans provide a lump sum payout to help people manage expenses if they are diagnosed with one of our 25 covered critical illness conditions such as life-threatening cancer, stroke or heart attack footnote 1– so they can focus on recovery.
Available Plans
We offer flexible plan options for coverage amounts starting at $25,000. These can be purchased as standalone plans or as riders on term, universal life, and whole life products.
- Renewable and convertible plans (Living Benefit 10 and Living Benefit 20)
- Level plans (Living Benefit 75)
- Permanent plans (Living Benefit 100 and 15-Pay Living Benfit 100)

All Living Benefits base plans and riders have access to the BMO Insurance Health AdvocateTM Plan footnote 3 at no additional charge. Our Living Benefit Plans offer your clients access to our early discovery benefit to help them get financial support if diagnosed with a covered critical illness in its early stages. footnote 4
Footnote 1 details See policy contract for complete definitions of covered conditions.Footnote 2 details Please refer to the product guide as some riders are not available on all plans.Footnote 3 details Your clients and their immediate family members including their spouse and children, have access to these services at any time. In addition, once every three years, their extended family members, including their parents, their siblings and their spouse’s parents and siblings, get to access these services for free, without compromising your access.Footnote 4 details A maximum of four early discovery benefits may be payable per policy, provided each claim is for a different early discovery covered condition. There will be no change to premiums or the sum insured upon payment of the early discovery benefit.
