Larry is responsible for the development and oversight of the Private Wealth Group investment solutions platform and also manages the investments of some of BMO Private Banking's largest clients. Larry joined BMO Private Banking in 2000 as Regional Director, investments for the greater Toronto area. Larry has built his expertise over 22 years of professional experience as a portfolio manager and investment counselor for private clients, pension funds and pooled funds.

Larry is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts. He is a member of the BMO Private Investment Counsel Inc. board of directors.

Marvi Ricker joined the BMO Private Banking in 2002 to help clients to engage in meaningful philanthropy based on their personal values and a strategic approach to giving. She helps individuals and families to create legacies within their families and communities, either by setting up private foundations or structuring significant gifts to their favourite charities, either in their lifetimes or through their wills.

From 1990 to 2002, Marvi was Executive director of The Ivey Foundation, a private charitable foundation, which has made grants of almost $80 million in support of projects in health, education, social development, environment, and arts and culture. The Foundation has had a particular interest in conservation of forests in Canada.

A graduate of the University of Toronto (B.Sc. in maths, physics and chemistry, and M.Sc. in chemistry), Marvi began her career as a chemistry instructor at U of T’s Scarborough Campus. After teaching full time for four years, she held a number of administrative positions, among them director of the University of Toronto’s Department of Public and Community Relations.

Marvi is a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute, and has served on a number of boards, among them the University of Toronto Governing Council, Telehealth Ontario Advisory Committee, Living Legacy Trust and National Museum of Science and Technology. She is currently on the board of the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation, The Glenn Gould Foundation, and the advisory board for Carleton University’s Masters in Philanthropy and Non-profit Leadership.

Kevin Malone, MBA

Kevin joined BMO Private Banking in 2009 and is responsible for the overall leadership and strategy of Private Wealth Group in the Greater Toronto Area. Kevin previously worked as a Senior relationship manager at BMO Capital Markets. With 24 years of experience serving key corporate clients across a number of industry sectors, Kevin has extensive experience working with clients who have complex wealth management needs.

Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He completed his Bachelor of Arts Honours (Economics) degree at Queen's University.

Kevin is a Trustee of Lakefield College School, and Director and past President of Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme's National Board. He also volunteers on several fundraising committees for charitable and community organizations and coaches rep and house league hockey and soccer. In 2002, Kevin received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for significant community contribution.

John Bathurst, CA, TEP, CFP

John is responsible for the leadership and strategy of Private Wealth Group in British Columbia. Before joining Private Wealth Group, John was Regional Director, Wealth Services for BMO Private Banking in British Columbia. He was a partner and senior principal with KPMG for 20 years prior to joining BMO, providing tax planning services to high-net-worth and entrepreneurial clients and their businesses.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University, the Chartered Accountant designation, and has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) in-depth tax course. He received a certificate in Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute in the USA and a certificate in Family Enterprise Advising (FEA) from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (UBC). He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE).

His contributions to the community include serving as President of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the UBC Business Families Centre and the former chair of the Professional Advisory Committee to the Centre. John is also a member of the board of directors of the Vancouver Rotary Club.

Sébastien Souligny, LL.L., DTax

Sébastien is responsible for Private Wealth Group leadership and business development in Quebec. He joined BMO Private Banking in 2011 as Director, Tax and Estate Planning. Prior to joining BMO, Sébastien worked at Ernst & Young and Deloitte in various locations across Canada, providing tax planning services for entrepreneurial and high net worth clients and their businesses, namely corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions as well as executive compensation planning.

Sébastien obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa and was admitted to the Quebec Bar. He also holds a post-graduate degree in tax law from HEC Montreal. He has taught tax at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa as well as the In-Depth tax course of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation as well as the APFF.

Sébastien is a member of the planned giving committee of the HEC Montreal Foundation. He regularly skis with his wife and their three children and enjoys tennis and golf.

Neil J. Blanchard, MBA

Neil is responsible for Private Wealth Group leadership, strategy and business development in Prairies. He joined BMO Private Banking in 2008 as Regional Director, Banking in Atlantic Canada and subsequently assumed a similar role in Western Canada in 2013 based in Vancouver. Neil has recently relocated to Calgary to assume his current role.

Neil holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Dalhousie University and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of New Brunswick. Neil is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and has guest lectured at Dalhousie University and the University of New Brunswick in areas if Finance and Accounting.

Neil has been extremely active in the communities he has resided in having been involved in senior volunteer positions with Rotary Clubs and Mental Health foundations both in New Brunswick & Nova Scotia. Neil also received his Paul Harris Fellow from Rotary International in 2008. With his recent relocation to Calgary, he looks forward to becoming involved in the Calgary community.

Boyd Hamblin, MBA, FICB

Before joining BMO Private Banking in 2010, Boyd held various relationship management and team leadership roles throughout BMO's personal and commercial banking operations. Boyd has built his expertise over 31 years with Bank of Montreal. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) degree from the University of Manitoba.
