Gord Graves

Vice President
Client Strategy & Head, Private Wealth Group

Gord has had broad exposure to the Canadian financial services industry with 30 years of experience leading Banking, Investment, and Estate and Trust businesses.

Gord spent 18 years with Canada Trust in Retail Banking and Private Client roles, including leading the Estate and Trust Division. He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of MD Private Investment Management and MD Private Trust.

In his 10 years with BMO Harris Private Banking, Gord has had a variety of roles including Vice President and Managing Director – Eastern and Northern Ontario and his current position where he is accountable for Client Strategy as well as leadership of the Private Wealth Group.

Gord serves as a board member for BMO Harris Investment Management Inc., and is a member of the Investment Advisory Council.

Larry Armstrong

Larry is responsible for the development and oversight of the Private Wealth Group investment solutions platform and also manages the investments of some of BMO Harris Private Banking's largest clients. Larry joined BMO Harris Investment Management in 2000 as regional director, investments for the greater Toronto area. Larry has built his expertise over 22 years of professional experience as a portfolio manager and investment counselor for private clients, pension funds and pooled funds.

Larry is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts. He is a member of the BMO Harris Investment Management Inc. board of directors.

Marvi Ricker, B.Sc, M.Sc.

Marvi Ricker joined BMO Harris Private Banking in 2002 to help clients to achieve their philanthropic goals. Philanthropic services works with individuals and families who want to set up a private foundation or a charitable fund at their local community foundation, or who want help to structure a significant gift to their favourite charity either in the lifetime of through their will.

From 1990 to 2002, Marvi was executive director of The Ivey Foundation, a private charitable foundation created in 1947 in London, Ontario and in 1998 relocated in Toronto. The Foundation, which has made grants of more than $60 million in support of projects in health, education, social development, environment, and arts and culture, has a particular interest in conservation of boreal forests in Canada.

A graduate of the University of Toronto (B.Sc. in maths, physics and chemistry, and M.Sc. in chemistry), Marvi began her career as a chemistry instructor at U of T's Scarborough Campus. After teaching full time for four years, she held a number of administrative positions, culminating in 1984 with director of the University of Toronto's Department of Public and Community Relations.

Marvi has served on a number of boards, among them the University of Toronto Governing Council, Telehealth Ontario Advisory Committee, Living Legacy Trust and National Museum of Science and Technology. She is currently on the board of the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation

Kevin Malone, MBA

Kevin joined BMO Harris Private Banking in 2009 and is responsible for the overall leadership and strategy of Private Wealth Group in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Kevin previously worked as a senior relationship manager at BMO Capital Markets. With 24 years of experience serving key corporate clients across a number of industry sectors, Kevin has extensive experience working with clients who have complex wealth management needs.

Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He completed his Bachelor of Arts Honours (Economics) degree at Queen's University.

Kevin is a Trustee of Lakefield College School, and Director and past President of Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme's National Board. He also volunteers on several fundraising committees for charitable and community organizations and coaches rep and house league hockey and soccer. In 2002, Kevin received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for significant community contribution.

John Bathurst, CA, TEP, CFP

John is responsible for the leadership and strategy of Private Wealth Group in British Columbia. Before joining Private Wealth Group, John was Regional Director, Wealth Services for BMO Harris Private Banking in British Columbia. He was a partner and senior principal with KPMG for 20 years prior to joining BMO, providing tax planning services to high-net-worth and entrepreneurial clients and their businesses.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University, the Chartered Accountant designation, and has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) in-depth tax course. He received a certificate in Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute in the USA and a certificate in Family Enterprise Advising (FEA) from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (UBC). He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE).

His contributions to the community include serving as President of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the UBC Business Families Centre and the former chair of the Professional Advisory Committee to the Centre. John is also a member of the board of directors of the Vancouver Rotary Club.

Meghan Meger

Meghan is responsible for the overall leadership and strategy of Private Wealth Group in the Prairies region. She joined BMO Harris Private Banking in 2004 as a senior relationship manager serving Canadian business families. Meghan has over 21 years of experience serving families of wealth in Canada and internationally.

Meghan is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is a Certified Financial Planner holding both Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designations. Meghan also has extensive training in risk management and compliance and holds the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) Options & Futures certificate. Meghan is enrolled in the Family Enterprise Advisor program at the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business.

Meghan's dedication to her clients is a passion that extends beyond the workplace. She sits on private family boards providing financial education and advice to prominent Canadian families.

Sébastien Souligny, LL.L., DTax

Sébastien is responsible for Private Wealth Group leadership and business development in Quebec. He joined BMO Harris Private Banking in 2011 as Director, Tax and Estate Planning. Prior to joining BMO, Sébastien worked at Ernst & Young and Deloitte in various locations across Canada, providing tax planning services for entrepreneurial and high net worth clients and their businesses, namely corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions as well as executive compensation planning.

Sébastien obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa and was admitted to the Quebec Bar. He also holds a post-graduate degree in tax law from HEC Montreal. He has taught tax at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa as well as the In-Depth tax course of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation as well as the APFF.

Sébastien is a member of the planned giving committee of the HEC Montreal Foundation. He regularly skis with his wife and their three children and enjoys tennis and golf.
