Help with Download Account Details

The range of transactions available for download is dependent on the transaction data available for specific accounts to a maximum of 123 days.

To help manage the size of your data file, we recommend you download and save your transactions at least once a month. It is also a good idea at the beginning of the year to archive all of last year's data and start a new year file.

Types of accounts available for download

You can download your BMO deposit accounts and BMO MasterCard accounts from Online Banking.

You cannot download BMO loans, BMO mortgages and BMO Line of Credit accounts.

Download options

BMO provides download options for QuickBooks, Quicken, Simply Accounting and Microsoft Money, as well as the option to download your account details into a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file.

Choose to download to a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file if you do not use financial management software and would like to view your downloaded transactions using a standard spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel.

Downloading to Quicken

For security reasons, we use your BMO Debit Card for Business number, not your account number, when downloading your transaction details. Your debit card number may change if your debit card is lost or stolen. If your debit card number changes, you will need to set up a new account in Quicken using your new debit card number.

If you have installed Quicken and only see American financial institutions, you have most likely purchased the American version of the product. Please ensure you purchase the Canadian version. For more information, please contact Intuit Canada.

Fees

There is no charge to download your account details through Online Banking.
