Alex is the head of the BMO Capital Partners and Mid-Market Mergers & Acquisitions lines of business with a focus on private equity, subordinated debt and M&A transactions across Canada. Alex brings over 20 years of experience in investment, project, and structured financing. Alex joined BMO in 1998 and has held a variety of senior level positions within the BMO financial group.
Alex is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and has a BA (Honours) from Queens University at Kingston.
Managing Director Ontario
Evan Bennitt is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Partners and shares responsibility for overseeing investments in Ontario. Evan has more than 15-years of middle-market leveraged finance experience and prior to joining BMOCP led CITâ€™s Leveraged Finance business in Canada. Evan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor, and is a CFA charter holder.
Managing Director Ontario
Dale joined BMO Capital Partners in 2014 and shares responsibility for overseeing investments in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. He brings over fifteen years of principal investing experience, having invested across a wide variety of industries and transaction types. Dale began his career at Working Ventures Inc. followed by a move to CAI Capital Management in 2003 where he focused on North American mid-market buyouts, primarily in aerospace & defense, health care services, waste management, power generation, and business services. Most recently, Dale was Head of Investments for Aquila Infrastructure Management.
Dale holds a B.A. in Economics and a Diploma of Engineering from the University of Prince Edward Island, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and the ICD.D designation.
Managing Director Western Canada
Lee Grimshaw is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Partners and is responsible for overseeing investments in Western Canada. Lee has extensive industry and corporate experience in Aircraft Engines, Aerospace and Appliances, in addition to 10 years of financial services industry experience in subordinated debt, equity, senior debt cash flow and asset backed transactions. Lee holds a degree in Commerce, has an MBA in Finance, and is a CFA charter holder. He is also an alumnus of the GE Financial Management Program.
