QUEBEC REGULATORY REQUIREMENT
Prior to proceeding with credit card application for Quebec residents you MUST follow the steps below:
For Quebec residents, prior to proceeding with credit card application, review the Insurance Product Summary with the customer and obtain their acknowledgement:
1) Click to open "Insurance Product Summary"
2) Provide the customer with a copy of the Insurance Product Summary and review with the customer
3) Obtain the customer’s verbal consent to proceed with the card application
NACCC Employees:
For Quebec residents - Prior to proceeding with credit card application follow the steps below:
1) Obtain customer's consent: "Mr./Mrs. X, since the Insurance Product Summary and any related documents describing the key terms and conditions of your card insurance and your rights cannot be provided to you over the phone, do you consent to receive these documents, along with your certificate of insurance, at the same time that you will receive your card welcome package?"
Note: Customer must provide clear consent (e.g., "yes", "I agree", etc.) prior to proceeding with card enrollment.
2) Conference the customer to a pre-recorded line (via GAD) to play the insurance product disclosure recording for the specific card being applied for or transferred in to (recording labelled as "Insurance Product Summary" followed by card name or type)
