Jim Kelsey's career at Bank of Montreal spans 42 years, with the last 22 years as an executive officer of the Bank. After joining the Bank in Ontario, he advanced through various management positions culminating in his promotion in 1989 to Vice-President, Independent Business and Agriculture. After moving to Vancouver as the executive officer responsible for the Bank's commercial line of business in British Columbia, he returned to Ontario in 1997 to lead the newly formed Corporate Finance Division. The Division's rapid growth and success led to his promotion to his current position as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance Division, Personal and Commercial Client Group.
Mr. Kelsey is actively involved in charitable and civic activities. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Geneva Centre as well as President of the Geneva Centre Foundation Board. The Geneva Centre's mission is to empower individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and their families to fully participate within their communities.
Ian Hayes

Ian Hayes has national responsibility and assists the Team Leads in the various lines of business within Corporate Finance in structuring and pricing new business opportunities. Ian is a seasoned banker with over 25 years experience with Bank of Montreal in Canada and the United States. Ian has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of British Columbia, has completed the Canadian Securities Course and was awarded a Fellow in the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Doug Palmer is responsible for management of the Ontario and Atlantic clients of BMO's Corporate Finance Division. Doug brings over 20 years of extensive corporate and commercial finance experience to this role including senior debt lending, M&A advisory services, risk management & restructuring. Doug holds an MBA from Dalhousie University, and CGA and FICB (Gold Medalist) designations.

Michael Klopchic is responsible for management of the Ontario based clients of BMO's Corporate Finance Division. Michael brings over 20 years experience with domestic and international institutions in investment banking, corporate and structured finance. Prior to rejoining the Corporate Finance Division in 2010, Michael spent the previous 6 years leading BMO's retail and commercial operations in south-western Ontario and currently sits on the board of Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation. Fluent in four languages, Michael also holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and completed University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management Advanced Leadership Program.

Richard has over 33 year experience in the business financial services and has extensive involvement in the marketplace and the communities he serves. He is a past Chair of the Provincial chamber of commerce. Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Université Laval and an MBA from L'Université du Québec à Montréal.

Nadim Hirji is responsible for managing the Prairies accounts for the Corporate Finance Division. Nadim brings 18 years of extensive corporate and commercial finance expertise including merchant banking, senior debt lending, real estate finance, oil & gas lending, risk management & restructuring. Nadim holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and a FICB designation (Fellow, Institute of Canadian Bankers).

Christine M. Cooper is responsible for managing the British Columbia accounts for the Corporate Finance Division. Christine joined BMO in 2006 after progressing through various roles at another financial institution including leadership positions in portfolio management and commercial banking. In November 2009, she was appointed as District Vice President, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Christine's career encompasses almost 20 years of experience in banking. Christine earned a BA (cum laude) in economics and business from Wheaton College (Illinois) and an MBA from Dalhousie University.
