Doug Stotz is Chief Marketing Officer, BMO Financial Group effective January 11, 2011. In this role, he will have accountability for Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Mr. Stotz joined BMO Financial Group from Bain & Company where he was a partner in the Financial Services practice. Prior to this role, he was Executive Vice-President, Product and Profitability Management at FleetBoston Financial. As the top marketer at Fleet’s consumer bank, Mr. Stotz was responsible for all retail banking products and leading strategy for retail banking.

Over the course of a decade with Fleet, Mr. Stotz held a variety of roles in strategy and marketing including Chief Marketing Officer of Fleet’s Quick & Reilly brokerage. Previously, he worked in strategic consulting at Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Services practice in Boston and Melbourne.

Mr. Stotz holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Management from MIT.
