October 14, 2010 – BMO Capital Markets has been named

The annual report, which polls the views of leading institutional
investors in Canadian equities, tracks the performance
of institutional equity research, sales and trading firms

in trade execution, among others.

BMO Financial Group’s Cooper to Receive Lawrence R. Klein
Award
September 29, 2010 – Dr. Sherry Cooper, executive vice
president and chief economist for BMO Financial Group,
will receive this year’s prestigious Lawrence R. Klein
Award for economic forecasting accuracy. She and her team
correctly pinpointed key indicators at both the beginning
of the recession and the beginning of the recovery.
Cooper has been described by Canada’s national newspaper
as “the megawatt celebrity economist.” In this case, she
beat out about 50 other top North American economic forecasters
to receive one of the best-known and longest-standing awards
in the profession.

September 21, 2010 – BMO Financial Group has been named
to the inaugural Global 500 Carbon Performance Leadership
Index (CPLI) by the Carbon Disclosure Project, an independent
not-for-profit organization holding the largest database
of primary corporate climate change information in the
world. BMO – the only Canadian-headquartered company named
to the Index – has been recognized for the actions it is
taking to reduce global emissions and mitigate the risks
of climate change.
The CPLI highlights companies which have integrated climate related

Leadership in Foreign Exchange
June 8, 2010 – Profit & Loss Magazine has
named Jamie Thorsen, Global Head of BMO Capital Markets’ Foreign
Exchange Group, to the publication’s 2010 Hall of Fame.
Ms. Thorsen was presented with an induction award at a
gala dinner held in New York City last week. The Hall of
Fame was established by the magazine’s editorial staff

BMO Capital Markets was selected as part of Global Finance’s
annual World’s Best Investment Banks 2010 awards which
will be published in its June 2010 issue.
Global Finance editors, with input from industry experts,
used several criteria to arrive at their selections. These
included market share, number and size of deals, quality
of service and advice, structuring capabilities, distribution
network, efforts to address market conditions, innovation,
pricing, after-market performance of underwritings and
market reputation. Deals announced or completed in the
last three quarters of 2009 or the first quarter of 2010
were considered.
