Internship & Co-Op Programs
Internship and co-op programs are a great introduction to BMO and a way to get valuable hands-on training while doing meaningful work that has a real impact. When you join us as an intern or co-op student, you get a chance to gain relevant work experience, further develop your skills and find the area of our business that's the best fit for you. And we benefit too – from your talent, enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
- Program Overview: A 10 to 16-week summer internship for students who will be continuing their post-secondary education in the fall and who are interested in a career in Financial Services. Roles are available in all lines of business, in both Canada and the United States
- What we look for: Full-time students returning to school in the fall, at any post-secondary level (college and university)
- When to apply: January 9-15 (Canada); February 13-19 (US)

BMO® Financial Group/ Lime Scholarship and Internship Program for Students with Disabilities - Canada
- Program Overview: BMO Financial Group has partnered with New York-based Lime Connect Inc., a not-for-profit organization, to launch the BMO Financial Group/Lime Scholarship and Internship Program. This program provides students with the opportunity to receive a $2500 scholarship and compete for a paid summer internship as a Financial Services Manager. Successful summer interns are offered full-time positions at BMO Financial Group upon graduation.
- What we look for: Students with disabilities who are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution in Canada and who have career ambitions in the financial services industry.

Ron Jamieson Aboriginal Scholarship and Internship Program - Canada
- Program Overview: BMO Financial Group is pleased to offer the Ron Jamieson Aboriginal Scholarship and Internship Program in honour of Ron Jamieson, a Mohawk from Six Nations and former Senior Vice-President Aboriginal Banking at BMO.
- What we look for: Aboriginal students who are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution in Canada are eligible for a scholarship and the opportunity to compete for a paid summer internship.

Commercial Banking Summer Internship
- Program Overview: A 10-week program which provides a unique combination of experiences including classroom learning, e-learning, seminars, peer partnering, mentoring and team-building activities. These roles are part of the BMO Student Internship Program, however please note the application process is different for Commercial Banking roles (see below).
- What we look for: 3.2 GPA or better with excellent communication skills and proven analytical skills.

- Program Overview: A highly selective, intensive two-day immersion in commercial banking. Participants get exposure to teams that develop and manage relationships with clients using our wide range of banking products and services. Participants also learn about career paths in commercial banking.

Investment & Corporate Banking Analyst (Summer)
- Program Overview: A four-month program that gives undergraduate students practical and hands-on experience in a dynamic investment and corporate banking environment.
- What we look for: Students in their 3rd year of an undergraduate honours degree with strong analytical, communication and leadership skills; preference given to those students with concentration in finance, accounting or economics.

- Program Overview: A four-month program that gives MBA students practical and hands-on experience in a dynamic investment and corporate banking environment. Summer associates participate on a wide variety of client transaction teams on public underwritings, mergers and acquisitions projects, and other advisory engagements.
- What we look for: Highly motivated students in their 1st year of an MBA program with a high level of integrity and strong analytical, communication; preference given to those students with a concentration in finance, accounting and economics.

- Program Overview: A two-day program that gives juniors at select universities valuable opportunity to learn more about entry level career positions in investment banking.

Trading Products Rotational Program
- Program Overview: Rotate through various trading and sales desks over a 12-month period, gaining exposure to a wide variety of products and services. Participants gain on-the-job learning with meaningful work experience, hands-on exposure to industry professionals, and opportunities in various parts of BMO Capital Markets.
- What we look for: Undergraduate (Analyst role) or Graduate (Associate role) degree; business or math-related disciplines are preferred. Strong research, analytical, data manipulation and spreadsheet skills are required.

Capital Structuring & Origination Rotational Program
- Program Overview: Analysts in the Capital Structuring & Origination Rotational Program gain experience and build relationships across different functions of the investment bank as they rotate through various product groups including Securitization, Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets. This 2 year program consists of 6 month rotational units, with the possibility of advancing into a trading room position upon completion of the program.
- What we look for: University Degree, MFE or MMF (completed or final year) with strong analytical, relationship-building and communication skills; Completion of CSC®** and CFA®*** considered an asset.
